Our advice for cleaning and maintaining your jewelry
To preserve and protect your jewelry, follow our care guide!
To ensure that your jewelry can last as long as possible, it needs to be given special attention!
Although our jewelry is gilded with fine gold and our rings are gold-plated, and they resist life's little hazards quite well, they remain delicate and we have some tips to help you maintain their shine for a (very) long time.
How do I clean my jewelry?
BE CAREFUL ABOUT THE PRODUCTS!
First of all, we recommend that you do not put your jewelry in contact with any chemical, cosmetic or liquid products , we mean creams, perfumes, lotions, or others. These products can slip under the stones, leave traces or deposits on the jewelry, making them lose their shine little by little...
We also recommend that you remove your jewelry when showering. Indeed, just like cream, soap can leave residue and settle in your jewelry.
If you decide to take a shower with your jewelry on, just remember to rinse it thoroughly and then dry it in a dry cloth when you get out.
CLEAN MY JEWELRY
To clean your jewelry, we advise you to soak them in lukewarm water to which you add a little soap . Then rinse with water. Wipe with a soft cloth, without rubbing too much to avoid removing the gilding, and that's it!
How do I care for my jewelry?
STORING YOUR JEWELRY
To prevent them from getting tangled and damaged, we advise you to store your jewelry on each side, in their respective boxes. Each Caroline Najman jewel is delivered in a case or pouch that protects the jewelry during transport, but also at home!
REMOVE YOUR JEWELRY WHEN YOU GO TO SLEEP
While smaller pieces of jewelry like studs or Mini Hoops with built-in clasps don't pose too much of a risk, chains and jewelry with clasps can get damaged in your sleep by getting caught or tangled. We therefore advise you to remove them before going to bed!
Can I exercise with my jewelry?
It is generally not recommended to play sports with jewelry, so it is best to remove it to avoid damaging it!
Be aware that sweat contains acid that could damage the part of the jewelry in contact with the skin (which can damage the gilding or blacken basic silver jewelry).
If you decide to keep them on during your sports activity despite everything, remember to rinse them carefully then dry them in a dry cloth (as you would after a shower) in order to preserve their shine for as long as possible.
